Reformation x Imparfaite

Reformation is a Californian brand founded in 2009 with the ambition of making sustainable fashion accessible to everyone. Renowned for its flattering silhouettes and vintage inspiration, Reformation appeals for its timeless aesthetic and eco-responsible approach. Their philosophy? To offer desirable clothes while reducing the environmental footprint, to prove that style and sustainability can go hand in hand.

At Imparfaite, we fully embrace this philosophy: celebrating creativity while preserving our planet. Our shared convictions manifest themselves in a passion for vintage, second-hand goods and a desire to rethink our consumer habits. That's why we're delighted to announce Reformation's exclusive presence at the Vintage Fair in Paris on 5 and 6 April. This event is a unique opportunity to discover the brand's universe and appreciate the full scope of its sustainable commitment, in perfect harmony with Imparfaite's DNA.

The Reformation DNA: vintage heritage meets modernity

Founded in Los Angeles, Reformation immediately stood out for its bold blend of vintage influences and contemporary approach. Every piece is designed to last for many seasons, with wearable fabrics, subtle prints, and flattering silhouettes that recall the elegance of a bygone era.

This desire to slow down fashion is in line with that of Imparfaite, which values second-hand clothes as a way of giving them a longer history. By offering limited editions that are regularly renewed, Reformation prevents overproduction and reduces unnecessary goods being created. Its emblematic slogan, ‘Being naked is the #1 most sustainable option. We're #2’, illustrates this heightened awareness of the environmental impact of fashion. The result is a wardrobe where comfort, femininity and ecological awareness form a winning trio. For Reformation, the quest for style and the preservation of the planet go hand in hand, and that's precisely what makes it so unique in the eyes of Imparfaite.

Concrete commitments and total transparency

Another reason why Reformation is so much in the news is that it goes beyond mere promises. Since 2015, the brand has been carbon-neutral and has set itself the goal of becoming ‘Climate Positive’ by 2025, then fully circular by 2030. To achieve this, it is deploying an arsenal of initiatives: preferential use of recycled or organic materials (TENCEL™, organic cotton, linen, hemp), local or energy-efficient production, and limiting waste throughout the value chain. Innovation is at the heart of its process: Reformation is even exploring technologies such as advanced textile recycling or eco-friendly waterless dyes.

To measure and communicate its progress, Reformation relies on RefScale, a tool that calculates the environmental footprint of each garment compared to a ‘standard’ equivalent. Water, energy, CO₂: all parameters are listed on every product page, and environmental impact is measured at scale and published via quarterly sustainability reports. This radical transparency allows customers to make informed choices, in full knowledge of the impact of their purchases.

At Imparfaite, we recognise in this commitment the same desire to promote a responsible consumption model. By giving customers the opportunity to buy pre-loved pieces, we are both participating in a circular economy that extends the life of clothes. With its innovations and transparent approach, Reformation is perfectly in line with the brands we want to promote: those that combine aesthetics, quality and ethical production.

An exclusive meeting at the Vintage Fair

Want to discover the world of Reformation in real life? On 5 and 6 April, Vintage Fair will be celebrating Reformation's collaboration with Imparfaite. Over the course of a weekend, immerse yourself in an immersive experience at the heart of its eco-responsible collections and unique world. You'll be able to admire the brand's emblematic pieces, talk to the teams and soak up the atmosphere that characterises it.

The event features a cutting-edge selection of timeless vintage clothing and accessories, alongside iconic Reformation designs. It's a way of rethinking fashion with timeless essentials. Reformation's vintage selection features timeless American fashions: western-inspired denim and suede pieces, retro graphic tees, bomber and teddy jackets, and much more. For the occasion, Imparfaite has brought together the iconic vintage pieces for which it is famous: a cutting-edge selection of perfectly distressed jeans, romantically embroidered blouses, slim-fit blazers and flares. The essence of the Parisian wardrobe, with timeless elegance and effortless style.

At Vintage Fair, we'll be highlighting the complementary nature of our approaches: on the one hand, the expertise of a brand that designs new but responsible clothing; on the other, our passion for vintage and second-hand clothing. By joining forces, we hope to inspire more virtuous practices in the fashion industry and remind people that every clothing choice can have a positive impact on the planet. Join us to celebrate this unique encounter and explore, together, a new way of consuming fashion.
